Over the last two weeks, TKA has held Tecate Site Meetings. These meetings have helped building site teams get to know each other and discuss information and details about the trip, as well as ask questions. Students, staff, and parents met in individual classrooms. Some participated in building training, while others worked on team-building. In the pictures below, you'll see students from site 4 working diligently in their groups to re-create a block tower from memory. A fun and challenging exercise, that provided an excellent example of how much a group can get done when they work together. In four more days, we'll all be putting this skill to good use.
Hi all, just letting you know we all arrived safely to camp! Adults are tired, but students are full of energy :). Spirits are high and we're looking forward to getting started. The rain is going to push back our start time a bit tomorrow, but we're staying flexible. Turning in for the night!
