Tecate Day 6 [Final Post]

Hello!  We had a morning devotional based on 1 Thess 5:17-19 from Mr. Liu encouraging us all to view the past week through a lens of gratitude - gratitude for the trials and difficulties that built our character as well as the many precious moments: bonding with our friends, making new friends, loving on the precious families that we served, experiencing God's heart, and the list goes on!  Then we packed up, cleaned the camp and then gathered for one last group photo before heading out.

Thanks again everyone for following along and most of all for your prayers.  We'll see you all soon!!!!

Tecate Day 5

We started off the day with a stirring word of the day from Dr. Rey Henry, encouraging us to build enduring relationship, have perspective, and remember the cross of Jesus.  Afterwards, we headed off the day for our last full day of building.  The weather was in the 70s and there was lots of roof work along with dry walling and electrical - everyone did an INCREDIBLE job pushing through the fatigue and the heat and we finished strong!  We ended the day with key ceremonies where we gave the families their new home along with a Spanish Bible - it was a moving moment with tears shed and parting goodbyes.

Back at camp, we had dinner and then ended the night with a TKA talent show - a fun night where students performed various acts, from magic to jokes, a banjo performance and more!  Tomorrow morning, we load up in our caravans and get ready to head back!

Here are some pics from today's builds!
