We woke up to sunny skies and were excited to tackle the work! After a quick word of the day by Mary Engelkemier, we headed off to our work sites. We met the precious families whom we were building for, had a chance to bond with many of kiddos, and started to build! For many of us, it was our first time swinging a hammer, using a circular saw, or framing a wall, but by the end of the day, we were all getting the hang of it. By the end of the day, most sites had the exterior and interior walls up and a structure that was starting to look like a house!
We wrapped up our evening with a wonderful dinner of rice, beans and tamales, followed by an evening devotional by Micah Lokensgard and a message by Rick Palm.
