2018 TKA Service Trip Verse:
Mark 10:45 "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve."
Praises: God has provided many new adult volunteers, especially alumni, to serve on this trip. We are also grateful for a new student worship band, the ability to stay at the Ranch again, and the decisions to take fewer items over the border (we are buying almost all food and non-food in Mexico).
- God to prepare all of our hearts: the families we are building for, parents & students participating, those leading the trip and sites.
- Growing relationships with the 16 families we are building house for and that they will be blessed.
- Deepened relationships and unity among the students, parent volunteers, staff.
- Transformation in our own lives that goes beyond the week of service and leads us all individually to be servant leaders for life.
- The children we will be ministering to through Kids Club and Soccer Outreach - that many would come to know the Lord.
- Women coming to Family & Health - that they would be blessed physically as well as spiritually.
- Safe travel to/from/throughout Mexico, safety on the worksites, no injuries and good health for all.
- No rain!!
- Logistics of getting our supplies across the border (both into Mexico and upon the return in to the U.S.)
